HideBox
This Privacy Policy describes how HideBox ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our Android application. HideBox is developed and operated by Hetal Gohel ("Developer").
Information We Do NOT Collect
HideBox does not require you to create an account to use the App's core vault features. Your photos, videos, documents, and notes that you save into the vault are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly use the optional Backup feature described below.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Information We Access on Your Device
To provide the App's features, HideBox requests the following device permissions:

| Photos & Media | To let you select and move photos and videos into the secure vault, and to display vault contents back to you. |
| Camera | Used only for the optional "Intruder Selfie" feature, which captures a photo when someone enters an incorrect PIN/passcode, so you can identify unauthorized access attempts. This photo is stored locally in your vault and is not transmitted to us. |
| Biometric / Fingerprint / Face Unlock | Used to authenticate you via your device's built-in biometric hardware to open the vault or lock selected apps. HideBox never receives, stores, or has access to your raw biometric data — it is processed entirely by the Android OS and device hardware. |
You can review and revoke any of these permissions at any time through your device's Settings > Apps > HideBox > Permissions.
Optional Backup and Restore Feature
If you choose to enable the encrypted Backup and Restore feature, copies of your vault content (photos & videos) may be uploaded to Google Drive. Backed-up content is encrypted before transmission and while stored. You can delete your backup data at any time from within the App or by contacting us at the email below.
If you do not enable this feature, no vault content ever leaves your device.
Advertising
HideBox may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks (e.g., Google AdMob). These networks may collect information such as your advertising ID, device information, and general location to serve relevant ads, in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device's Settings > Google > Ads menu, or by upgrading to HideBox Premium, which removes ads.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions (HideBox Premium)
Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details — these are handled directly by Google. Subscription management (cancellation, refunds) is available through your Google Play Store account settings.
Data Security
Vault content is protected using on-device encryption and access controls (PIN, pattern, or biometric authentication). While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
HideBox is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you (such as backup data). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
